Best Wishes to a Princess

Hi everyone, I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Weather was amazing... love it how it is now. The card I want to show you now is made for the new TOMIC challenge, where they have a photo inspiration and as addition a get well or best wishes card. Mine is a best wishes one for a little princess, who is a Princess from head to toe.

I made a criss cross card. Love this shape of card. I used Tilda catching Stars, coloured her with Distress Inks. The background papers are from Prima 'En Francais'. The border die is Magnolia as well; 'Sweet lovely lace. The clock is Tim Holtz.

Here you can see how you can take the inside of the card out.

And here is the inside, for some personal best wishes.

I added some stickles to the stars and the crown.

Of course a crown charm cannot be missed :o). Here you also can see the structure of the clock. I painted it with creme and white, added some creme crackle paint here and there. And as a finish I covered the whole shape with clear crackle paint. I love this effect.

Beside of TOMIC I want to join following challenges with my card:

Midweek Magnolias - Open Theme
Deep Ocean - Use Punches / Dies
Magnolia Mania - Bingo (Distressing, Lace, Tilda)
Timbroscrapmania - anything goes

Have a good start into the new week!

I coloured the image with Distress Inks and also distressed the edges with them. The borders are a Magnolia cutting die 'Sweet Lovely Lace'.

Whiff of Joy New Release

Hi everyone, the new release of stamps at Whiff of Joy, designed by Elisabeth Bell, is a special collection of Sympathy images. Here I show you one of them, the 'Weeping Willow'. I love this image, it is perfect for making condolence cards. I made three different cards with the same image...

Here I made white embossing on dark blue cardstock. The background is a rose print vellum which is not very good sightable. I wrote the sentiment by my own in a bold black.

The same style like the card above, but with a lighter pastel coloured embossing powder and a lighter pen to write the sentiment.

This one is more different. I made a black embossing on the vellum paper and added some black and white lace and a cross charm.

I am wondering which one you like most. Please let me know.

The new images are available from the 28th April. There are sentiment collections and dies as well. So don't miss to take a look soon.

Whiff of Joy Challenge - Let's play Bingo

It's me once again for today. We have a new challenge at Whiff of Joy Challenges as well.

We have a fun challenge for you this fortnight!  We're going to play Bingo!!  If you have never taken part in a Bingo challenge before all you need to do is choose one of the horizontal, veritcal or diagnoal lines on the Bingo board below and use those three items on your card!

The card I made is with one of the new images of the Secret Summer Kit of Whiff of Joy, which just started for pre-ordering. Isn't Mme Henry just so cute? The theme for the Summer Kit is 'Jane Austen meets Henry Mouse'... I know you will just love it.

I coloured Mme Henry with Copics. As I love this paper so much I didn't wanted to add too much. So I just made some stitching around and added the row of the Bingo Game with Charm, Ribbon and Flowers.

And here is the Bingo card;

So wanna play? We look forward seeing what you create.

Crafts & Me Challenge - Embossing

Hi everyone, hope you're doing fine. Better than me... as my back pains turned out as a pyelitis :-(. I have to take antibiotics now and really hope it will be better soon.

Today we have a new challenge over at Crafts and Me Challenges. The theme for you is

EMBOSSING

I found my love back to the dry embossing folders. They give such a wonderful effect on a card. Here I coloured the embossed parts with some white ink. The crocheted flower is made by me. The image I used is Tatiana by the fabulous artist Hannah Lynn available at Crafts and Me.

I coloured the image with Copics. And I coloured the background by myself and love how it turned out.

For getting more inspiration also check the other gorgeous DT creations. We look forward seeing you joining our new challenge.

Guest Designer at Copic Marker Europe

Hello everyone, I am so much honoured to guest designing at Copic Marker Europe for a second time today. Thank you so much to them for giving me this wonderful chance!

The card I show you today is made with another sweet image from the newest collection at Whiff of Joy 'We Are Family' called 'You Can Count on Me'. The papers I used for the background are from Simple Stories 'Generations'.

For colouring the image I used following colours:

Grey Mouse : W7, W5, W3, W2, W1 and W0
Brown Mouse: E57, E53, E33, E11 and YR20
For the ears, tummy and tail I added: R20, YR00 and R00
Ceeks: R02
Throusers: B93, B12 and B00
Shirt: Y17, Y15, Y11
Background: BG10 and G000
Ground: W3, W2, W0, 0

After I coloured the ground I added some points with the blender to give it a grainy effect.

Normally my cards have quite some embellishments on them, like flowers, lace, and much more. But always when I use those papers from Simple Stories I think any embellies would be too much. It would cover too many of the lovely details on the papers. So I left them away, just added two banners with a saying, which are from the same papers as well. This way it keeps the focus on the image which I quite like as well. My card is perfect for a children birthday.

Now I wish everyone a happy day!

Wee Snippet's Cake

Hi everyone, hope you enjoy your days although the weather could be much better... it's quite wet and fresh here in Switzerland. But I don't mind, as then I can spend more time with crafting.

The card I show you today is made with this cute little fairy called Wee Snippet's Cake by Whimsy Stamps. She is perfect for a birthday card. The background papers are Fancy Pants Be Childish. The big letters are from the same paper pad as well. The sentiment and matching die is Whimsy stamps as well.

I coloured the image with Distress Inks. The tulip border is from a local store sold as an Easter decoration. As some additional embellishments I addes some green buttons.

All those items are available at Bunny Zoe's Crafts!

Hug Me

Hi everyone, It is my turn today to show a project at the Crafts and Me blog. I am a bit late with my today's post. I have bad back aches since yesterday which didn't allow me to craft as I wish. I need some breaks with lying down each thirty minutes of doing anything... really annoying. Hopefully it will be better within the next few days as I planned to travel to a stamping fair in Germany the next weekend. Keep your fingers crossed.

Well, the card I show you today is made with one of the newest artist images. It is from Dollie James and the image is called 'Hug Me'

It was a big pleasure to colour her. I did it with Copics. If you love to colour big hair, those images are perfect for you!

I created my card with the Sketch over at The Sketchy Challenge.

Wish you a wonderful day!
